Barrister Asaduzzaman Fuaad holds a press briefing in which he alleges widespread vote rigging, intimidation, and violence during the recent election in his constituency, and argues that the overall administration failed to ensure a fair and level playing field.

He warns the BNP leadership, particularly Tarique Rahman, that elements within the party are becoming ‘new fascists’, mirroring abuses previously associated with the Awami League. He urges the new government to rein in criminal elements within its ranks and to uphold democratic norms.
