Nasiruddin Patwary, the National Citizen Party’s (NCP) Central Chief Coordinator, has alleged a targeted attack in Jaintapur, Sylhet. He says a brick was thrown at his car after a political event, injuring his hand and seriously hurting a colleague. Patwary described the incident as an attempt on his life. He directly accuses Prime Minister Tarique Rahman of bearing responsibility for the attack. Patwary says he does not intend to pursue legal action, instead framing his response in political terms. He also notes that several vehicles have been damaged in Sylhet in recent days, suggesting a wider pattern of intimidation. The bloodshed, he says, marks a ‘red line’.
