Culture encompasses the collective way of life of a community – its attitudes, values, beliefs, artistic and scientific endeavours, ways of perceiving the world and habitual patterns of thought and behaviour – while also embracing the shared customs, social structures and material practices that define the prevailing norms and core convictions of a particular racial, religious or social group at a given point in time.
