Born in 1964, Fahmida Nabi is a prominent Bangladeshi vocalist renowned for her contributions to modern Bangla music, classical songs, Rabindra Sangeet, and Nazrul Geeti. She began her career in 1979 and has remained a significant figure in the music scene for decades.

Fahmida Nabi has earned widespread acclaim throughout her career, including the National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer for the film Aha! in 2007, followed by the Channel i Performance Award and the Meril–Prothom Alo Award in 2008. Alongside her achievements as a performer, she has contributed to the development of new talent by serving as a judge on the popular music reality show CloseUp 1. Since 2007, she has also run her own voice training institution, Karigori, where she has mentored aspiring singers. Her musical repertoire spans modern Bangla songs, classical music, Rabindra Sangeet, and Nazrul Sangeet, showcasing her versatility and deep-rooted artistry.

She is celebrated for timeless hits such as Lukochuri Lukochuri Golpo, Dur Dwipabashini, and Ektu Jodi Takao Tumi, songs that have cemented her place in the hearts of listeners across generations. Fahmida Nabi continues to release new music and perform internationally, maintaining her presence as a leading figure in Bangladeshi music. Her discography includes notable albums such as the Ek Mutho Gaan series, Mone Ki Porena, Amar Bela Je Jay, Dupurer Ekla Pakhi, and Akash O Shamudra Aupar (2011), each reflecting her distinctive voice and artistic depth.
